  I CAN however, recommended both Peerless Auto (who had been my usual mechanic and my fathers before me untill I moved away) and my soon to be new mechanics, Fountain Gate Auto. They r straight up, genuine, helpfull and honest in my opinion. :)

  So I took it from them (with my motorgaurd hanging off!) to my usual mechanic who just shook his head at what I had to tell him. He serviced my car for me and addressed the "issues" that genuinely needed attention for MUCH less than what Midas qouted. My car has been running fine since and that was over 6 months ago. Being a single mum, with 2 toddler children, I think I was seen coming..

  I too cannot recommend Midas, I bought into a deal to have discounted services and repairs so booked my family car in for its routine minor service. I dropped it off and walked my children around the shops for 2 hrs before I received a call, expecting to be told to come and pick up my serviced car, only to find out that they had only just put it up to look at and found over $3000 of "issues" they wanted me to address before even STARTING the standard service. The biggest of these probs being something I felt no symptoms of driving and saw no signs as to it being a problem.
